BMW introduces the impressive X5 Li, a remarkable SUV designed exclusively for the People’s Republic. Unveiled in March 2022, this vehicle redefines luxury and performance, and it’s coming to the market in September 2023.
The X5 Li stands out with its extended wheelbase, adding a significant 5.11 inches (130 millimeters) compared to its global counterpart. This leads to a more spacious interior, with plenty of legroom for rear passengers. Entering and exiting the vehicle is made easier with wider rear doors, while the meticulously designed seats provide optimal comfort during long rides.
Manufactured at the Dadong plant as part of the BMW Brilliance joint venture, the X5 Li arrives in two versions. The first is the X5 xDrive30 Li, equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine producing 258 horsepower. This may seem modest, but it enables a surprisingly quick 0-62 miles per hour acceleration in about 7.2 seconds.
For those seeking more power, the X5 xDrive40Li boasts a 3.0-liter straight-six turbo engine generating an impressive 380 horsepower. This version accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.5 seconds. Notably, the X5 xDrive40Li can also silently glide using pure electric power at low speeds.
The updated X5 Li family showcases significant improvements, including the revamped BMW iDrive featuring QuickSelect. The infotainment software version 8.5 comes with a fresh menu structure and a new home screen design, enhancing user experience. Additionally, special features designed exclusively for the Chinese market, like electroplated accents on the steering wheel and door panels, enhance the X5 Li’s appeal.
Don’t miss out on BMW’s latest masterpiece, the X5 Li. With more space, more power, and more luxury, it’s a game-changer in the world of SUVs.
